Women’s Bible Study – The Best Yes

New Wednesday Night Women’s Bible Study will begin March 29th at 7 p.m.  This study will last only six weeks and has very little homework.  The study guide is only $7 and the optional book, “The Best Yes” is only $5.  You can pick these up the first night of the study.  Any questions?  See Carol Barber or Lou Ann Martin.  Here’s what the study will focus on…

Are you living with the stress of an overwhelmed schedule and aching with the sadness of an underwhelmed soul?

Lysa TerKeurst is learning that there is a big difference between saying yes to everyone and saying yes to God. In The Best Yes she will help you:

Cure the disease to please with a biblical understanding of the command to love.

  • Escape the guilt of disappointing others by learning the secret of the small no.
  • Overcome the agony of hard choices by embracing a wisdom based decision-making process.
  • Rise above the rush of endless demands and discover your best yes today.

2016 Men’s Retreat

2016 Mens Retreat

Men, answer the call! Join us as men from all over the Colorado District come together on October 21-23, 2016, for CALL OF DUTY: Genesis

Many times when you hear “Call of Duty” you might think of military service, or possibly first responders. Often, these individuals go “above and beyond” as they provide for the welfare and safety of others. As Christian men, we have a “call of duty” from God that originates in the first chapter of the Bible. Imagine what the world would look like if men answered God’s call, and gave EVERYTHING, just as Christ did for each of us. Join us for a weekend filled with great fun, food, the opportunity to meet other men, and a great message. Even if your desire is for some relaxing downtime, this retreat is for you. Activities for the weekend will include the climbing wall, 900 zip-line, bowling-pin shooting competition, disc golf tournament, and much more! Also part of this weekend is the incredible Chuck Wagon “meat-fest” meal, prepared and served in a great outdoor setting. This will be an amazing weekend that you will not want to miss!

Please make sure you click on the Resources tab to download and sign the Golden Bell Waiver for activities at the Retreat. Also, answer the questions about roommates and food.

Thank you!!!

Added BONUS!

All men who register and pay in full during before October 7th will be automatically entered in a drawing for a prize pack that includes:

  • Friday, April 3: Good Friday Service – 7:00pm
  • Saturday, April 4: Community Easter Egg Hunt at Side Creek Park – 10:30am
  • Sunday, April 5: Easter Service – 9:30am
    • There will be no Sunday School or evening activities

Catch the Vision!

Join us as we continue to seek God’s will in reaching people in the name of Jesus! This comes through a lot of avenues, but one special one that we are envisioning is through Family Life Center on our southern edge of our property.

The FLC will house a gym, a comfortable gathering area, a large classroom/meeting space and another classroom space. This piece of our property could become a central piece to the life and ministry of our church.  Would you join us in prayer? Would you be willing to help us raise the needed financial resources?

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our church office.

Journey to the Cross, A daily Lenten Devotional

Journey to the Cross: A Free Devotional Guide

Lent strikes many Protestants as the exclusive domain of Roman Catholics, but this season can serve any Christian as a unique time of preparation and repentance as we anticipate the death and resurrection of Jesus. On the Christian calendar, Lent (from Latin, meaning “fortieth”) is the 40 days beginning on Ash Wednesday and leading up to Easter Sunday. (Sundays aren’t counted, but generally set aside as days of renewal and celebration—”mini-Easters” of sorts.) Lent is “first and foremost about the gospel making its way deeper into our lives.”

Journey to the Cross is a free devotional guide for the season of Lent. Each week focuses on a different theme (e.g., repentance, humility, suffering, lament, sacrifice, death), and each day follows a distinct pattern: Call to Worship, Confession, Contemplation, and Closing Prayer. “Lent is about Jesus,” the authors contend, and with each element “our aim is to reflect meaningfully on his journey to the cross, so that we might take up our cross and follow him.”

  • To participate online, click here.
  • You may also download the PDF version of the devotional, Journey-to-the-Cross, to use on the device of your choosing.
  • We also encourage you to join our Facebook event that will host sharing and discussion for those going through the journey together.
